Chai Masala

Chai comes in many forms with many combinations of flavors. Our chai blend comes from the villages of Himachal Pradesh in the Himalaya mountains. Where the winters are cold and harsh and bones can be quite easily chilled to the marrow. Our Chai Masala has the warming, soothing flavors of black pepper, ginger, green cardamom, cinnamon and other rich warm spices. Flavors that are mixed in proportions that have been handed down by hand for generations. Enjoying a cup of our Chai takes you to another time. One of a slower pace of life, steeped in tradition and ancient spices and flavors. The flavors and oils in this mix of spices really come through the best when mixed with a fat. We suggest whole milk, or raw milk if you can get it. The best way to make chai is to simply add your loose leaf black tea to milk, not water, in a pan on the stove, add our chai blend mix, sugar to your taste and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat, pour through a strainer, straight into your favorite mug and find your cozy place and savor each sip. Allow the flavors of the Himalaya mountains to warm your bones and take you away to the villages of Himachal Pradesh. All of our seasonings are salt, sugar, and preservative free. No fillers, no anti-caking agents. Non-GMO, only pure 100% spices! Oxygen and light being the enemy of fresh spice, your order is vacuum packed in its bag immediately after the spices are toasted, ground and mixed. Removing all air and light from your purchase to ensure it is absolutely just as fresh and fragrant when you open it as it is when we grind your spice to order. It also ensures the essential oils remain intact and are not breaking down from exposure to light and oxygen. We take freshness SERIOUSLY. This Chai Masala blend contains NO tea, caffeine, dairy, or sweetener of any kind. Try our Chai Masala in whipped cream, cheesecake mix, muffin recipes, or simply slice 2-3 bananas in a pan with a generous amount of butter (4-5 tablespoons), sweetener, and our Chai mix to taste. Cook until bananas are soft and the chai has coated the bananas stirring regularly and enjoy! Contact us for larger quantities!
