Freshly picked and air-dried epazote leaves. 1 oz. package. Epazote provides a nutritious and distinctive flavor to Mexican dishes such as refried beans, enchiladas, or tacos. The herb helps make beans more digestible. If we fresh-pick some to fill your order, it will take 2-3 weeks to dry and package it. At the end of the growing season, we collect the organic seeds. Each packet of seeds contains 1/4 tsp., or about 200 seeds. We grow the epazote in organically-amended soil. It is certified USDA organic by both OCIA and the Real Organic Project.
