After a long search, I came across a small shop in Agios Nikolaos on Crete while looking for high-quality, tasty and gently processed spices and teas. The store called “Elixir Herbs & Spices” only has approx. 20 m² and is located in the heart of the small town not far from a small fishing port. With their fruity, clear spiciness, the chili peppers ensure a neat and fiery taste. They have a spiciness level between 7 and 8 and are perfect for numerous European and oriental dishes as well as for making chili oil or fiery chutneys. The longer the pods are cooked, the spicier the end product will be.
